Joo ( Ju ): Hello, I’m Joo Chase, a Korean-American artist living in the San Francisco Bay Area since 2014. I paint inspiration from Korea’s natural beauty, childhood memories, and the vibrant modernity of America. I hold a Bachelor of Arts from a Korean university and an MBA. In the U.S., I earned a certificate in painting and drawing from Diablo Valley College (DVC). I worked as a character designer in the game department for five years and as a project manager for ten years, overseeing projects and developing online marketing applications. I create portraits, abstract works, and nature-inspired paintings using a combination of oil, acrylic, watercolor, and traditional Korean ink.
